Linda Mears . . . b 1949, American Listed Fine Artist At a very early age Linda Mears began to express
herself artistically. Her life has
been filled with inspirations not only from her travels across the United
States and in Europe but also from her Pennsylvania Dutch heritage and those
experiences resulting from living in semi-rural regions of Southern
California with nearby mountains, beaches, ranches and farms. Since 1987, when Linda was discovered by Jay Johnson
of Jay Johnson's Gallery on Madison Avenue in New York City, her original
paintings have continued to be represented worldwide in galleries, museums,
publications, exhibitions, private collections and on gift products. Linda is known for her great attention to detail and
strength of composition. In each
painting she creates an aura of wonder that invites you to participate in the
fascination of the moment. From the
peaceful solitude of the Americana countryside, to the charm of a cat, a
rooster, a black and white cow, a flower, to the thrill of a carnival - Linda
brilliantly reveals her delight in life. "My goal is that my art will reveal to viewers
